Commuter Choices Mission
Aiming to change commuter behavior, Transportation Demand Management strategies use a multi-modal approach to mitigate congestion, use resources more efficiently, and decrease commute time. Alternative modes of travel to single-occupancy vehicles (SOV) for commuters are carpooling, vanpooling, transit, cycling, and walking.
Commuter Choices Goal
Our goal is to build a community of smart travelers who understand the impact of commuting options on the environment. This can include both natural and built environments, as well as, resource usage. Understanding the impact of how we travel, can help us mitigate our adverse effects to the environment.

Commuter Choices Focus
MMMPO's Commuter Choices program is focused around planning, coordinating, and sharing information to provide a safer, more efficient, and more environmentally-friendly commuter patterns. WE want to create a Commuter Community focused on the needs of our region. MMMPO is partnering with local businesses and major stakeholders to pioneer Commuter Champions. Our current focus is congestion in the 705 Corridor; but, we are looking for commuter input to ensure our resources and efforts correlate with the needs for service. Send us your feedback!
